What Causes Itching And Lice On The Head?

I had gotten lice over the summer, i did a treatement & washed everything. I did another treatment a week later. Two days after the second treatment my best friend found an adult lice on the top of my head. I use a nit comb everyday, i never find anything, but my head still itches. what could this be?
