What Causes Itching And Mucus Vaginal Discharge?

I have a bit of an embarrassing problem that's driving me crazy but don't want to see my doctor about it in person. My clitoral area has been very itchy and I'm not sure why. I did have a yeast infection a month or two ago but I'm not sure that's what this is because it's a different kind of itch and really hard not to scratch. I've also noticed a mucusy discharge though haven't noticed a change in smell or anything. Any ideas what it might be?
