What Causes Itching And Roughness On Hand After A Burn?

i scalded my hand 6 days ago. it was very red and tender at the time, but did not blister. Now, it is very itchy, and certain areas a raised and has there is a rough, bumpy texture. It seems more like a rash than a burn. Is this typical of the healing process or is there a deeper problem?
