What Causes Itching And Swelling At Mantoux Test Site?

Please type your query here...Hi I am 56 yrs old and had a previous case of TB when i was 23 yrs old for which i had undergone treatment and deemed completely cured.I have now taken a Mantoux test just to rule out the possibility that i might have TB again on doctor's orders.the result showed that i have a 55mm*55mm in diameter area of induration.However just before the completion of the 48 hrs (maybe 4-5 hrs back)i had severe itching and became swollen and pink in colour but had no pain ...Can you please advise whether there might be an allergic reaction that i might have had before they tested me for mantoux and which resulted in the 55mm*55mm reading
