What Causes Itching And Watering In Eyes?

My daughter stuck a mixture of baking soda and conditioner in her mouth at a birthday party tonight. She immediately spit it out and I wiped off her tongue, but now she has itchy, watery eyes like she s having an allergic reaction. I gave her a bit of Benadryl, should I be concerned?
