What Causes Itching Followed By Severe Pain In Ears?

hii.. my mom use to have a lot of iching.. in her ear.. and then.. she tried.. mustard oill.. didnt work.. she went to the doctor.. the doctor gave her these ear drops.. so she used them.. and went back.. and the doctor cleaned.. her ears.. for her.. after that.. she was.. fine for a bit.. but recently.. she has started having serveer pain.. in her ear.. and right now my mom has got sharp pain in her ear.. she doesnt know wat do : ( ????
