What Causes Itching In Arms?

My daughter had a scrape on her arm and said it stings and has been itching it all day. I sprayed hydrogen peroxide on it and it appeared to burn her skin and leave white spots and she cried and said that it hurt. I sprayed some more on there and new white spots appeared. I have no idea what to do????
