What Causes Itching In Penis After Having Sex Post Hysterectomy In Wife?

Hi I have a problem. Im a male and since my wife had a historectomy last year every time we have sex i start to itch afterwards and i get like a carpetburn on my penis for a couple of days. Is it a change in her hormons or body fluid since the operation or could it be a invection.
