What Causes Itching In The Ear With Swollen Tonsils?

I suddenly had itchy right ear for two days. And now my right tonsils has swollen and is painful when I chew. I do have allergies and take nasal spray and use inhaler rarely now. I am breast feeding my two month old baby. What should be done. Thanking you for your time in advance Doc.
