What Causes Itching On Palms Of Hands,back And Buttocks?

Hi, I am a 46 year old women. My skin has started to itch on my hands, in the palms of my hand, the upper part of my back and my buttock. I have been an insulin dependent diabetic for 7 years, can you tell me what is possibly going on with the itching?
