What Causes Itching On Scars Of PUPPP?

I had puppp during my pregnancy with my son. He is now 2 years old. I had a severe case, covered from head to toe and everywhere in between. I scratched so much that it left a scar on my foot and another scare on my index finger. Is it possible after 2 years for the scars to reacuringly itch severly?
