What Causes Itching On The Head And Severe Nose Bleeds?

hi my daughter has continued itching on her head and severe nose bleeds, she has had nose bleeds on and off for a couple of years now however recently they have esculated and now yes keeps scratching her scalp and there are no signs of redness of lice etc.....am I paranoid / is this coincidence or may there be a link?
