What Causes Itching, Redness And Dryness On Neck?

Hi I'm 20 years old. Just three days ago my neck started getting really red, itchy and dry. After I took a shower and put lotion on it, my neck started burning and itchy horribly. Now my skin is really dry around the area even though the redness has gone away for the most part. What should I do?
