What Causes Itching Scar Like Spot On The Vagina?

I have a scar like place on the outter part of my vagina (the scar like place appears a little bit darker) it itches really bad not constantly and it is not red or inflamed. I have once had a bump or two at one time on my vagina could that be herpes? I've read about herpes ...that it comes in clusters...my bumps have never been in clusters or painful nor were they puss filled or scab over. Just bumps that seemed to be under the skin. What could those bumps have been and what is this scar like spot that itches?
