What Causes Itching Sensation Around Implant Area?

I have had my implant for about a year now and I have woken up this morning with no lumps around it I have just felt an immense itching sensation and looked at my implant area and there is a lump ontop on the metal in the middle that is the fee but really itches what could it be??
