What Causes Itching Sensation On Back And Chest Area?

I am a 60 year old male and on Monday my chest and back started to itch, now there are little red bumps, about 5 or 6years ago I had a bout with shingles but it was more concentrated area on my side, this just itches, I am putting Aveno anti itch on seems to help.
