What Causes Itching When I Come In Contact With Cold Objects?

hi i'm a male 45 yrs old, I notice every time i use cold packs or just hold something that is cold(like a glass of cold drink) i felt a severe itching and swelling of the skin that had contact with cold surface. even my tongue got itchy when i drink ice cold water. The itching subsides in minutes but the skin swelling last for about 12 hours. I do not have this before, now i am experiencing this for about 7 months now.
