What Causes Itching While Using Vibrator And After Intercourse?

My wife was complaining that she is feeling itchy after using a vibrator which fell onto the carpet while in use. A day later we had intecourse and now I am feeling itchy as well. I suspect it was due to the bedmites. How can we treat the itch.
