What Causes Itchy And Painful Rash On Abdomen And Back?

I began to get a rash on my abdomen. First it was just itchy, then the rash. Now it is larger and some has shown up on my back. Very very painful to touch. We have been experiencing winter weather, so my body parts have not been exposed to anything. I wear several layers to keep warm at work.
