What Causes Itchy Blisters On Fingers After Starting Amoxicillin?

I was given amoxicillin Monday evening in the ER to treat a severe inner ear infection. I've never had an adverse reaction to it before, however today I noticed small blisters on my fingers which have began itching profusely. I'm wondering if this could be an allergic reaction caused by the amoxicillin and if I should discontinue it's use.
