What Causes Itchy Bumps On Buttocks?

I have itchy blistery looking bumps on my buttocks that usually appear once or twice a month. They go away but come back like clockwork. I once asked my doctor about it, he said it wasn t herpes but he didn t say what it was. These bumps appear no where else. What do you think it could be.
