What Causes Itchy Bumps On Palm Of Hand?

I have bumps in a circle about the size of a quarter on the palm of my hand. They itch and a layer of skin has peeled off. I'm a 46 yr old woman with no health concerns. Any idea what may have cause this. I did buy a new watch that I wear on that same arm that was a cheapie. Could it be a nickle reaction or something like that?
