What Causes Itchy Bumps On The Vagina?

I am a little concerned because at the beginning of the week I shaved off all of my pubic hair and now the exterior of my vagina is bumpy. The bumps are not big and they do not hurt, but they do itch and are sensitive to the touch. I am concerned because last year I got an external yeast infection. Could this be a symptom of that or am I worried for no reason?
