What Causes Itchy Gums And Sensitive Underneath Eye?

My gums on the right side of my mouth have been itchy today - I'm getting over a cold and my right ear had plugged up last week for several days. I don't have any gum issues, but I am a "clencher" so I thought that might be the issue. However, when I press underneath my right eye, it's pretty sensitive. Could I have a sinus infection, and if so, is it worth making a doctor appointment?
