What Causes Itchy Hives And Rashes On The Body?

i have a rash that has been on my body about 4 weeks now.I have small,hive like pimples all over my body, from my neck to knees. they are very itchy too. I went to the dermatologist and she did a biospy to check for pityrasis rosea. Does it sound like that's what I have?
