What Causes Itchy Rash On Legs And Arms?

I am extremely frustrated. I have had a very itchy rash on my arms and legs for over a month. My doctor gave me steroids which didn't work. Then I was sent to a dermatologist who gave me another round of stronger steroids along with an antihistamine. They calmed down the inflammation, however, now that I am finished with the medication I can feel the itchiness returning. I have had some night sweats for a few nights in a row for the last three months. I woke up yesterday, Sunday feeling tenderness with my glands on my neck, armpit, and groin all on the left side of my body. I drank alcohol on Sat. night. I don't know if that is related. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
