What Causes Itchy Rashes On The Feet?

I am breaking out in extremely itchy bites that look like chicken pox. The itching started in my feet, and now each bite is a raised, weeping lump. They started with the feet and have gone up to my neck. No fleas noticed. Wasn t out in high grasses to pick up chiggers. Doctor ruled out scabies.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy rashes on the feet. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like poor and compromised immunity of body, contact dermatitis can be caused by coming into contact with chemicals and poisonous plants, sensitivity to sunlight, side effects of certain medicines and psoriasis and allergic reaction. The symptoms can also occur due to fungal infection which is very common in feet. You should take plenty of fluids on daily basis. I would suggest you to maintain proper personal hygiene, take zyrtec one a day and apply cold compresses to reduce the itchiness and inflammation. Consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may order skin patch test , blood test , test for allergy and physical examination. Doctor may prescribe corticosteroid ointment, antibiotics , anti inflammatory and immunosuppressants .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
