What Causes Itchy Scalp?

Hi, iv'e been itchy in on my scalp for a few months now and originally thought it was from a medication zoloft i was taking. Once i stopped the medication it stopped however it has started up again. It ranges from my scalp a few on my neck and now on my left should. Could this be a stress thing. (they look like mosiy bites)
