What Causes Itchy Swollen Molluscum Contagiosum Infection On Under Arms?

my daughter has skin tags under her arm that are spreaking up her back. we went to the doctor and she said it was mollusum contagiosum but that it would go away. It s been half a year now and they keep getting itchy and swollen, sometimes she scratches them open. Someone told me about silver spray, and that it would help clear them. Is there any truth to this?
