What Causes Knee Pain After An Ankle Surgery?

Hi, I had ankle surgery 10 days ago for which I got a nerve block through my quadriceps. I have yet to regain sensitivity to touch between my shin and right above the knee. Also, I have acute pain in the left-lower side of my right knee mostly when walking but sometimes in resting position as well. After moving around or touching the place where it hurts, the right-lower side of my knee swells up a little and feels like there is fluid inside. Do you think this is related to the nerve block or could I have injured my knee and not felt it at the time of injury due to the lack of sensitivity? Thank you in advance for your help.
