What Causes Knot In Calf After Having Knee Injury?

I have a small knot in my calf. I recently hit my knee really hard. I don't know if that is related. My lower leg hurts now. It seems to be worse after standing for awhile. It's kind of hard to describe. Definitely not a sharp pain. More of a dull, annoying feeling. Not exactly like hitting your funny bone but more so than a sharp pain.
