What Causes Knots In Head After Recovering From Ringworm In The Head?

My son had a ringworm in the back of his head several months ago. We took him to the doctor and after it cleared up he had a knot there. She said it was a lymph node. Now, we see several knots in his head. What could be the cause. He also has a lot of dandruff.
