What Causes Labia Swelling During Intercourse?

while having sex i noticed my labia swelled to a great proportion to where i thought something was falling out of my body until i the swelling went down and i noticed it was my labia. the swelling gradually went down after a few hours and was only slightly swollen the next day to where it was barely noticable. is this something to worry about?
