What Causes Lack Of Concentration And Slurred Speech?

Hello Doctor, Three days ago I tripped over my daughter s toys at night and hit my forehead against the edge of my coffee table. There is a 2 inch cut on my forehead about an inch above my left eyebrow. The cut itself is extremely shallow and has not bled since that night. The next morning I had slurred speech and difficulty forming thoughts and concentrating. It has been almost 72 hours and the top, left part of my head is numb as well as portions of the forward, left area of my head. My primary care physician is out town until the 14th. I am trying to avoid the E.R. due to my high deductible but obviously my health is more important to me. Should I pay the E.R. a visit?
