What Causes Large Lump On The Cheek On Popping The Smaller Lump?

I tried to pop a pimple on my right cheek near my mouth. The next morning my eight lower cheek was all swollen and there is a hard lump inside my skin a little bit bigger than a marble. Did I extremely bruise the inner tissue or is there another problem? It has been a couple of days but the swelling has only decreased very little and the lump is very sore.
