What Causes Large Red Painful Bump On The Incision?

Hi, I had a c-section 4 and a half months ago. Two days ago I woke up with a large red painful bump on the my incision. It is very tender, I can't even sit still with out it hurting, it's even worse when I walk. Could this be a piece of staple that didn't come out?
