What Causes Left Sided Abdominal Pain When Suffering From Diverticulitis?

I have been diagnosed with diverticulitis. I just completed 10 days of an antibiotic and was feeling fine. Then the pain on my left side started again. I pooped 13 times in one day with constant pain before pooping. After it was relieved. Only to start on an off again throughout the day. At night I took 2 diphen/atropine and the next day I was fine. I started to feel a little uncomfortable on my left side, but no pain. Today, the pain has started again on my left side and am pooping only dollops at a time. Nothing significant.
I had a colonoscopy l year ago, had a few polops removed. At this point, I don't know what to do. I had a CT scan 6 months ago which indicated I had divertivculitis and that is when the doctor gave me the antibiototic in August. It started again in December. What to do???
