What Causes Left Sided Abodominal Pain?

I have had pain in my left side for about 3 weeks. I have lost 12 lbs because it hurts worse after I eat so I am trying to eat less and smaller meals. I had a CT scan and was told one of my filshie clips from my tubal ligation years ago has come off the tube and is now behind my spleen. My OB dr. acted like it was n big deal. I went to a general surgeon and he didn t recommend removing the clip since my spleen may bleed and have to be removed. He basically said I should just try and deal with the pain. Im just worried my spleen is enlarged.
