What Causes Left Sided Pain In The Throat?

Hi I have a strange bruising feeling on the left mid to base side of my throat .if I press it,it hurts on the left but also slightly on the right and front when swallowing it hurts only on the left it almost feels as if my throid hurts ??? I ve no temp and feel fine otherwise the pain started 5 days ago ???
