What Causes Leg Pain While Sitting Or Sleeping?

I am 72. I exercise 4 times a week at a Silver Sneakers facility. I experience leg pain while sitting and also during the night while sleeping. It awakens me every night. There is no pain when I am exercising or walking. I walk three miles when I do walk. I cannot understand the pain when I am inactive.
