What Causes Leg Twitching After Getting Glute Injection?

hi I was injecting my glute last week and my leg twitched as I put needle in , I pulled back plunger figured I hadn t hit a vessel as there was no blood but now 5 days and its still sore and swollen , not as bad as day one but still painful. Will this heal on it own?
