What Causes Lesions And Itchy Bump On The Face?

I started having small lesions appear on my face several days ago, about one a day. Today's was a bump that itched briefly (2 hrs) and now the upper layer of skin has disappeared, like the others. It's only a very tiny layer of skin that is gone, for the most part. Most have not itched.
