What Causes Lichen Planus?

I have been diagnosed with lichen planus. When searching it I have seen hashimoto disease come up several times. I have had concerns with my thyroid but my latest TSH test was 1.996. Which is in the normal range. However, I have alot of those symptoms and a family history of thyroid.
Any suggestions?
