What Causes Light Menstrual Bleeding Along With Stomach Cramps?

I am 27 years old got married a year back.my periods are always regular and it lasts 5-6 days with heavy flow.This month it came on time with all my cramps symptoms but flow was little on first day but after that there is no flow. This is the first time that has happened. Should I wait for my next period to come and check that and consult a doctor or should I consult doctor soon?
