What Causes Light Menstrual Bleeding?

my period came on time but it s hardly coming out. I have no flow at all. it s only there when I pee and wipe. Had sex cause it was not really bleeding at all. now there is a little coming out but still not really a flow. just a tad bit more. I m not even really seeing this as a period
