What Causes Light Menstrual Cycle?

Well, I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend about 2 weeks after my period at the beginning of last month..I didn't get my period til Monday and it's completely done now..I usually go a full week..not only 2-3days..it wasn't a normal period either extremely light and no cramping highly unusual for me.
