What Causes Light Vaginal Bleeding And Sore Breasts?

we have been trying for a baby for 2 yrs now, havent done a hpt yet, but did have slight bleeding 5 days after my period was due, feel tired and my breasts are so sore, just assumed as i had bled all be it for a short while i couldnt be pregnant is that the case?
