What Causes Light Vaginal Bleeding?

I was spotting during my cycle and my doctor advised me to use the fertomid pill. But the problem before i started taking the tables am no longer on period. Should i carry on taking fertomid? And i have fibrose i think they have contributed in terms my cycle being abnormal for the past few months..
