What Causes Light Vaginal Discharge Post Regular Menstruation?

I am 48 years old, and a week after my regular period had ended, I began to notice a light pinkish discharge. This has been going on for about two weeks now, accompanied now with mild cramping. This is the first time this has happened, and I m concerned this could be something more serious than premenopausal.
