I am 55 yrs.old and tend to bruise very easily, especially lower legs (shin area, sides of legs near knee area), hands (top), forarms (sides, and under forearms) and have been for about 1 year now. Light trauma bruising tends to start as yellow before fading away completely days later. If I bruise from harder trama to these skin surfaces it will start out as a darkend black/blue apperance then fade to yellow then dissapear. It appears that most of the bruising is of the yellow appearance from light trama with having no rememberance of buping into anything etc. I'm puzzeled and it scares me that I am seeing more and more of the yellowing bruises from day to day, (not the normal black/blue apperance). I have had blood tests and all is normal. I do consume normal amounts of fruits and veggies etc. and was wondering if it could possibly from this. I also have been prescribed Losartan for my high Blood Pressure along with HCTZ as I am having swelling in my lower legs, ankles and some feet which is helping with those issues etc., but I have also noticed that my skin in general seems to have a pale/yellowish tint also. Could the skin color be related to these medications and or veggie/fruit/medication combination? I do elevate my legs quite often and this is helping with the swelling. But my biggest concern is the light trauma yellow bruising, not black/blue as I would think would be more normal. Please advise.
Thanks, Randy
